New
Mexico Gas Station Fire Under Investigation
April 30, 2006
An early morning fire at a local gas station could have caused a major
explosion, investigating authorities said.
Rio Rancho firefighters were called to a Chevron gas station at the
corner of New Mexico Route 528 and Coralles Road around 4 a.m. Sunday
morning.
When firefighters arrived, they found small flames coming from the
area where tankers deposit gasoline.
Route 528 was
briefly shut down during the incident.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is still under
investigation.
